Belal was acknowledged during the broadcast. He was wearing a CM Punk shirt.
Commentary noted that he is the reigning UFC Welterweight Champion and number five in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.

Belal last fought at UFC 304 in July, defeating Leon Edwards and winning the UFC Welterweight Championship. He is scheduled to defend the title against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 on December 7.
