The Undertaker: Sting’s Last Match Deserved To Be Acknowledged By WWE, I’m Glad WWE Did That

The Undertaker is glad that WWE mentioned Sting's retirement match.

On the March 4 episode of WWE Raw, Michael Cole and Pat McAfee sent a special shoutout to Sting, as they congratulated 'The Icon' on his retirement match at AEW Revolution. This mention came as a shock to many fans, despite the fact that neither Cole or McAfee mentioned AEW by name.

On a recent episode of Six Feet Under, The Undertaker praised WWE for mentioning Sting's retirement match, noting that it was the right thing to do.

"There are certain people within the industry....we’re in competition with a different company, I get it, but Sting’s legacy is so much bigger than AEW or anything like that. He deserved that. I’m happy that, as a company, they acknowledged it. It’s only right. That whole AEW-WWE, it’s kind of like politics. You’re red, you’re blue, you’re conservative, you’re liberal. Most people are wrestling fans and they accept the fact that this is a true iconic star within the wrestling industry."

Elsewhere in the podcast, Undertaker stated that he has a hard time watching WWE events because he still wants to be out there in the ring. Fans can learn more about his comments here.

Undertaker also recently joked that he could've had one more match if Sting didn't retire. Learn more here.
