The Undisputed Era Shocks The System; Wins The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic And Holds On To The NXT Tag Team Titles

What just happened?

The finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic took place tonight at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. On the latest edition of NXT TV The Undisputed Era interrupted the original finals of the tournament between the impromptu tandem of Roderick Strong and the current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, and The Authors Of Pain. NXT GM William Regal then decided to set up Triple-Threat Tag Team match to make the The Undisputed Era pay for their actions.

The action started hot as the newly-crowned NXT North American Champion Adam Cole was taken out of the match early and it was mostly due to him being fatigued and beaten up from the NXT North American Championship Ladder match that he was victorious in earlier in the night.

As it came down to Pete Dunne and Kyle O'Reilly throwing the stiffest of forearms and kicks at one another, "The Bruiserweight" took control and appeared to have the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament and the NXT Tag Team Titles locked in the safe for he and Roderick Strong. But in a shocking sequence of events, Roderick Strong pulled Dunne off of the defeated O'Reilly and hit a "End Of Heartache" onto Dunne; pulled O'Reilly's lifeless body over the Dunne's as the referee counted to three. The Undisputed Era now has hold of the NXT North American Championship, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic trophy, the NXT Tag Team Titles, while adding a new member to the group in the process; Roderick Strong.
