Next Friday marks the season premiere of WWE SmackDown and two matches have been made official.
First, Roman Reigns will put the Universal Title on the line against Braun Strowman. Reigns pinned Strowman at WWE Payback in a triple threat match that also featured 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt to capture the championship. Reigns was drafted to SmackDown on Friday night while Braun will have to wait until Monday to find out which brand he will be on moving forward.
Plus, New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E) will team for one final time against Sheamus, Cesaro, and Shinsuke Nakamura. After winning the SmackDown Tag Team Titles from Cesaro and Nakamura, Kingston and Woods were drafted to WWE Raw. Meanwhile, Big E was drafted by SmackDown, officially ending New Day as we know it.
Next Friday is being billed as "New Day's Farewell to SmackDown."
