Rey Mysterio will get an unmasked action figure under the WWE banner for the first time ever.
San Diego Comic-Con is underway, and several new wrestling action figures have been announced. Mattel, who is in charge of the WWE action figures, announced tons of exciting new additions to their lineups.
Among the likes of Fake Diesel, a 1996 WCW debut variant of Kevin Nash, a 1999 variant of Triple H, and more in the Monday Night War Elites Wave 2 lineup is an unmasked Rey Mysterio. Rey Mysterio was unmasked in WCW in 1999 after losing a match to the aforementioned Kevin Nash at WCW SuperBrawl IX.
Ringside Collectibles shared multiple looks at the new Rey Mysterio action figures on the way. One variant features Rey with horn accessories and black tights, and another (shared in Prototype form) features Rey wearing orange overalls.

This is not the first time Rey Mysterio has had an unmasked action figure, as WCW released one without his mask in 1999 as part of their Bruisers line-up.
Rey Mysterio recently went into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023 and is currently resurrecting another former WWE gimmick, the LWO.
