Vince McMahon returning to TV.
WWE announced that Vince McMahon is set to appear on the June 17 episode of WWE SmackDown. McMahon has been a semi-regular on WWE television since Survivor Series 2021 when Cleopatra's egg was stolen, kicking off his mentorship of Theory. The storyline ultimately led to a match at WrestleMania 38 between McMahon and Pat McAfee.
On Friday, it was announced that Vince had voluntarily stepped back from his responsibilities as CEO and Chairman of the Board until the conclusion of the investigation. Stephanie McMahon has been appointed to serve as interim CEO and interim Chairwoman.
On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal published a report saying the WWE board of directors is investigating Vince McMahon on a secret $3 million hush pact regarding an alleged affair.
