Von Wagner finally got some revenge.
Bron Breakker brutally attacked Von Wagner on the September 5 episode of NXT, as he smashed his head with the steel steps. Wagner was sidelined for a number of weeks, leading Mr. Stone to challenge Breakker to a match at NXT Halloween Havoc. The former NXT Champion scored a dominant win, but Wagner made his return and took the fight to Breakker after the bell.
Breakker and Wagner clashed in a singles match on the November 7 episode of NXT. Stone was in Wagner's corner, and it was clear that Von wasn't quite 100%. While he delivered a valiant effort, it wasn't enough to put Breakker down, and Bron pinned him with a Spear. Stone tried to attack Breakker after the bell, and the powerhouse took him down with a Spear.

Wagner made the save and gained the upper hand. As he prepared to table Breakker with a slam through the broadcast table, commenator Vic Joseph said he didn't give a damn about his candy, which he keeps with him during the show. Wagner then stood tall, so while he did not get the win, he walked away with a moral victory.
