Wes Lee says he's going home.
In the opening bout on the September 12 episode of WWE NXT, Wes Lee faced Ilja Dragunov in a #1 Contender's Match for the NXT Championship. The two stars threw everything they had at each other, and Dragunov scored the win. In doing so, he earned a shot at NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes at NXT No Mercy.
Later in the show, Wes Lee was shown cleaning out his locker. In an interview, Lee stated that he had said he was going home if he wasn't going to No Mercy. He noted that he cleaned his locker out, and he walked out the door. As he left, Lee said that he's "done."

Lee's loss to Dragunov marked his latest setback. He unsuccessfully challenged Carmelo Hayes for the title on NXT Heatwave. Before that, he lost the NXT North American Championship to Dominik Mysterio and later failed to regain it at NXT Great American Bash.
