Wes Lee explains his betrayal of The Rascalz.
Wes Lee ended the August 6 episode of WWE NXT by attacking Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz and officially breaking up The Rascalz. He explained his actions in the August 13 episode, saying he was tired of taking care of Zachary Wentz and detailing the uncertainty he went through when Wentz got released by WWE in 2022.
Unlike most new heels that have recently turned on their teammates, Lee welcomes a future match against Zachary, even saying that NXT No Mercy could be the best place to do the match because he will show Zach no mercy when they wrestle. Wes would finish addressing his former partner by saying that when it's all said and done, Wentz can go back to TNA Wrestling and that he "wishes him well in his future endeavors."

The segment took a turn when Pete Dunne interrupted Lee and declared his intention to win the NXT Title. Then, Joe Hendry returned, looking for revenge after Wes Lee attacked him earlier in the night.
Hendry would knock Lee out from behind, causing Lee to knock into Dunne. All three men began fighting, and security had to come down and break up the fight.
