Will Ospreay says his win over Kenny Omega proves that he is the best wrestler in the world.
At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Ospreay avenged his loss to Kenny Omega at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, as he beat Omega to win the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. Don Callis interfered throughout the match and played a significant part in helping Ospreay score the victory.
In a post-match promo AEW posted on their Twitter page, Ospreay commented on his win after Callis noted that the champion might have to go to the hospital due to the cut on his head. He also teased having a rubber match with Omega.
“England, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, America, Canada, Japan, just name someone, anyone. I’m the last world beater of this generation. Ain’t no one doing it like me. I am the best in the world, and tonight proved irrelevant. Kenny, any time you want to settle this, for the tiebreaker, [indistinct]," Ospreay said as the video cut into his brief conversation with Callis.
The video showed Ospreay and Callis walking away. When Callis praised Ospreay for his win, the champion said Callis' interference was all he needed from him, and he left on his own.
