The finish saw Ospreay hit a tiger driver 91, a hidden blade after removing his elbow pad, and a stormbreaker for the victory.

It looked like Ospreay had the victory after Callis handed him a screwdriver, which Ospreay used to stab Omega with as Omega went for the one-winged angel. After stabbing Omega, Ospreay hit a hidden blade followed by the stormbreaker, but Omega got his foot on the rope to keep the match going.

Ospreay followed up with a one-winged angel of his own, but Omega kicked out at one.

The bloody bout featured callbacks to their Wrestle Kingdom 17 match, Ospreay continuing to disrespect Canada by desecrating a Canadian flag, mind games from Callis, and a full display of the arsenal of both men.

This marks the second reign as IWGP US Champion for Ospreay.Omega defeated Ospreay at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 to win the IWGP United States Championship. He made one successful title defense.

Ospreay earned his shot at the title by defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi and Lance Archer in a four-man tournament to become the number one contender.
