Will Ospreay comments on drawing inspiration from a 2011 match between Ricochet and PAC from the Dragon Gate promotion.
Today, Will Ospreay is known for being one of the most critically acclaimed wrestlers in the world. Competing in AEW, Ospreay is now gearing up to reignite a rivalry with Ricochet in a match on the 5-year anniversary of AEW Dynamite on October 2. However, before they were rivals, Ospreay's wrestling style was inspired by Ricochet.
In a recent post on X, Ospreay reflected on a match between Ricochet and PAC that occurred at Dragon Gate in 2011. Ospreay stated that he showed dispatch to his trainers as an example of what he wanted to be like in the ring, and less than three years later, he would be in the ring with Ricochet.
I remember when I first started training going down the Resistance Gallery for LSLL. Showing this to my trainers Greg & Garry and saying “this is how I wanna wrestle”
