Will Ospreay talks possibly winning the 2025 Owen Hart Cup.
At AEW Dynasty 2025 on April 6th, Will Ospreay will enter the 2025 Owen Hart Cup tournament, facing off with fellow NJPW alumni Kevin Knight in the first round of the tournament. Ospreay has his sights set on the tournament prize, an AEW World Title opportunity at All In this Summer. However, Ospreay is also not ignorant to the meaning behind the tournament and the legendary wrestler that is Owen Hart.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated's Jon Alba in a new interview, Ospreay spoke about what winning the Owen Hart Cup would mean to him as someone who idolized Hart's in ring career.
"It's like an incredible accolade to be able to say to people, just to be like, my name and Owen is just attached to there, and it's going to always be something that I can always just say, it's just an attachment," Ospreay said. "It's an incredible accomplishment to be able to put on the wall of accomplishments I've done."
