William Regal And Triple H Talk Aleister Black's Talent

William Regal says Aleister Black looks like a fighter and Triple H says he is going to be player.

In an interview with ESPN, William Regal and Triple H discussed the wrestlers they are developing at NXT and WWE's Performance Center. While talking about Aleister Black, Regal mentioned he had been keeping an eye on Black since he was "17 or 18."  Black is now 31 years old and wrestling in NXT. The Dutch wrestler had spent fourteen years on the independents before being signed to NXT. Regal explained why he decided to bring Black in for a tryout.

"You see the ones with the real passion and desire. So I've just kept a tab on him for years, the he started to really come into his own the last few years. His name was getting out there, and he was coming to America quite a bit and doing independent shows. We hooked up and I just said, 'Whenever you're ready, give me a call,' that kind of thing. The next thing, he's giving me a call. He was at a tryout, Triple H has seen him and, yeah, he's definitely got something that we're looking for," said Regal.

The quality Black has, he acquired with his years of martial arts training. This quality Regal says he looks for in every wrestler that gets a tryout.

"We look for a lot of things, but the number one thing that we look for,and if I suggest anybody to (Triple H), he will always say it: 'Do they actually look like they can beat somebody up?' Because the key thing to what we do, and there's a lot of wrestlers out there, unfortunately, who will get offended by this, but they just don't look like they can do anything physical to anybody. Some of that just comes with time. Over time, your face hardens up and you just look more like a fighter. Aleister just fits that bill because that's what he is. He is a kickboxer, and he's been through the wars a bit. You can just see life in his face," said Regal.

ESPN also interviewed Triple H and asked him about Black.

"Aleister Black is very talented. I think he's going to be a player," said Triple H.

Black defeated Andrade Almas in his debut at NXT Takeover: Orlando but he also appeared on the same card as the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament before that. Since his match against Almas, Black has had two short matches on NXT. Also in the article, Triple H and Regal were asked about another NXT talent in Otis Dozovic, one half of the tag-team Heavy Machinery.
