William Regal is contemplating a change.
At the end of TakeOver, McKenzie Mitchell caught up with Regal and asked for his thoughts on the show. Teary-eyed and despondent, Regal replied, "It's been seven years since I became the GM of NXT and I've never seen so much bedlam. It's complete madness. I think it's time for a change."

During the last episode of NXT, Karrion Kross mentioned how Regal couldn't get control of the brand. Adam Cole has been sneak-attacking people and forced his way into the title match. The ending of the Fatal 5-Way face-off ended with security guards getting beat up and all the contestants brawling. The main event picture is just one example of the disorder that has crept its way through the program.
It should be noted that Regal did not specify what the change would be. All he said was that it was time for one. Anything beyond that would just be speculation. Answers are likely to come on the forthcoming edition of NXT this Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
