Willow Nightingale Says It Would Be Cool To Share A Ring With Orange Cassidy, 'We'll See What Happens'

Willow Nightingale talks about her growing bond with Orange Cassidy.

While they may be diametrically opposed in terms of their aura, the laid-back Orange Cassidy and the spunky Willow Nightingale have found common ground in a common enemy. Both have recently been betrayed by Kris Statlander and in Cassidy's case, Trent Beretta also betrayed him.

Speaking to Fightful's Iridian Fierro for WGN Radio, Willow discussed her bond with Cassidy, saying that they both have good hearts and are united by these unfortunate circumstances. She hopes she can one day share a ring with Cassidy as a partner, but as she is currently focused on the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, she is going to allow the future possibilities of her and Cassidy as a tag team to occur naturally as they both try to improve their careers as singles performers.

"I mean, we're both people who have good hearts. He may be a little more 'whatever' about situations, but when he has passion about something, he has passion about something, and we were both back backstabbed by people we trust. So we found common ground in that, and I've known him for a while. You know, he was on the same scene that I was in before AEW, but this is something that kind of relinked us together. it would be cool to share the ring. I would love that. But we'll see. we'll see what happens. Like I said, go with the flow. We'll see what happens week by week."

Cassidy has said in the past that he worries that the words spoken by Trent and Kris may ring true and that perhaps he hasn't been the best friend he thought he was. Read his comments here.

Willow will be fortunate enough to get her hands on Kris Statlander in the sem.i-finals of the Owen Hart Tournament on July 3 AEW Dynamite. Check out the full card here.
