Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez are the first-ever Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic champions.
The duo defeated Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart in the finals at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
The early portion of the match saw Moon & Blackheart isolate Kai, working on her leg. Once Gonzalez tagged in, things began to break down with both teams taking high risks in order to put their opponents away. After an action-packed match, Kai & Gonzalez scored the victory with Gonzalez hitting her chokeslam bomb onto Blackheart. Both Kai & Gonzalez made the cover.
With this victory, Gonzalez & Kai will receive WWE Women's Tag Team Title bout in the future. The belts are currently held by Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax.
