WWE 2K25 developer Bryan Williams hypes up the DLC announcement for the upcoming game, saying it opens up a new world of possibilities.
WWE 2K25 has already been announced to have an extensive roster, but as is the case, the base game roster is never the entire roster. DLC additions always allow new Superstars to join the game and provide fun surprises for players.
Speaking with Matt Black of WrestleZone, WWE 2K25 developer Bryan Williams teased the upcoming DLC. While he can't give anything away, he's excited about the new possibilities and believes players will experience some unexpected additions.
The DLC will be announced soon. So you know, fans won't have to wait too much longer to find out what we are offering this year. Secondly, I will say that I am super stoked about this year's DLC," said Williams. "We've got some surprises, a lot of surprises. Characters that I think, if anybody thinks about it, they're like, 'Oh, probably this character, this superstar.' But we have some genuine surprises, some shocking characters that I think I was shocked that we were able to do what we're doing. So, yeah, I'm excited, and I think the fans will be genuinely very excited about this year's DLC offering.[There are] some wrestlers and superstars that I'm sure it feels like, 'Oh my god, I never thought I'd have this person in this game.' It's a brand new world. We're pushing the envelope. We're trying to move mountains, to really know make our DLC as exciting and as worthwhile post launch as it possibly can be."
When asked about a Superstar like Penta, who debuted in January, Williams opted to keep cutoff dates for additional content to himself. However, he did note that he is a fan of Penta and that fans will be pleased with what they get this year.
"That's one of the good things about, you know, having DLC and the ability to add content to the game post-launch. There's no bigger fan of Penta than myself. I'm looking at my action figures, and I still don't have one, but I will get one soon. So I will just say keep your ears tuned to @WWEGames and wherever you get your WWE 2K25 news, and I think, I think the fan base will be excited about what we are offering this year."

The video game will be available to the general public on March 14. Those who pre-order the deluxe editions will have access to the game on March 7.
