WWE announces that its WWE Champion has tested positive for COVID-19.

This is the first time WWE has made a formal announcement of a positive COVID-19 test. Early on in the pandemic, there were some on-air personalities, namely Kayla Braxton and Renee Young, who confirmed their own COVID diagnosis via their personal social media accounts.
Drew McIntyre was scheduled to face Randy Orton on the January 11 episode of Raw and further the storyline that began last week between he and Bill Goldberg that appeared to be leading to a championship match at the 2021 WWE Royal Rumble event.
WWE Has now announced that Drew McIntyre will make his first comments since his positive test during Monday Night Raw tonight.
