Sami Zayn needed some staples after his latest match.
During the "Day 1" edition of WWE Raw on January 1, the broadcast team announced that Sami Zayn required 15 staples after his match at the WWE Live Holiday tour event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on December 29. WWE also showed a picture of Zayn's stitches.

Zayn defeated Finn Balor in a Last Man Standing Match at the live event. It is not known how the injury occurred.
Zayn last wrestled on WWE programming on the December 4 episode of WWE Raw, where he lost to Drew McIntyre. McIntyre then took him out with a backstage attack. Zayn returned to action at the live event on December 26. There, he teamed up with Jey Uso to face Balor and Damian Priest.
There is no word on when Sami Zayn will return to WWE programming. Fightful will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
