WWE Edits Out 'Rusev Day' Chants From The Opening Segment Of SmackDown Live

No more 'Rusev Day'?

This past Tuesday on SmackDown Live a day after officially announcing her retirement from in-ring competition, former two-time WWE Divas Champion Paige was revealed as the new GM of the blue-brand. The former GM Daniel Bryan has returned to his role as a full-time competitor now that he is cleared. Paige's first move as GM came in the form of putting together a fantasy match between AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan for that edition of SmackDown Live.

Before making the announcement Paige asked the fans inside of the Smoothie King Center who would they like to see Daniel Bryan go one-on-one with in his first match back on SmackDown and the arena erupted in 'Rusev Day' chants. In the midst of Rusev being involved in many of headlines as of late, the chant was edited out from WWE's YouTube clip above.

"The Bulgarian Brute" was recently interviewed by TMZ Sports where he stated that he would "crush The Undertaker" at the 'Greatest Royal Rumble' event prior to being swapped out for Chris Jericho.
