It was announced by WWE over their social media accounts and on their website that they have reached new deals with both FOX and USA Network. The deal entailed that 'SmackDown Live' will be moving to FOX for five years starting in October of 2019. Also, the sports-entertainment corporation announced that they have reached an agreement with USA Network to continue airing their flagship show Monday Night RAW for five years as well and that deal will also officially begin in the fall of 2019.
The news continued to flow from World Wrestling Entertainment today as the company publicized that tomorrow morning at 8 A.M. EST, Co-Presidents George A. Barrios and Michelle D. Wilson will be representing the company during a conference call to discuss the announcement of the deals with FOX and USA Network. The following is the press release by way of WWE on the media call:
"WWE (NYSE:WWE) will host a conference call on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 to provide perspective on the Company’s recent agreements with USA Network and Fox Sports for the U.S. distribution of its flagship programs, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. The Company’s Co-Presidents, George A. Barrios and Michelle D. Wilson, will host the conference call beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET to update investors on its distribution plan for the U.S. and implications for its business outlook.
All interested parties are welcome to listen to a live web cast that will be hosted through the Company’s web site at corporate.wwe.com/investors. Participants can access the conference call by dialing 855-200-4993 (toll free) or 323-794-2092 from outside the U.S. (conference ID for both lines: 1980819). Please reserve a line approximately 10 minutes prior to the start time of the conference call.
