Layoffs are done for September 15.
On September 15, WWE laid off over 100 employees across multiple departments.
WWE President Nick Khan sent out an email at the end of the day on Friday saying, "Thank you for your patience and understanding today. All individuals impacted by today’s workforce reductions have now been notified. We thank all of these colleagues for their contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”
According to PWInsider, the Insights & Analytics team, which featured a 20+ member team, had at least 17 employees laid off today, leaving three total to continue in that department, and the Marketing, Graphic Design, and Live Events department also saw departures. WWE Network and Podcasting divisions were also hit with layoffs.
Smaller teams and divisions were reportedly "spared."
On September 14, WWE President Nick Khan sent an internal memo to WWE employees saying, "As part of WWE's transition into the newly formed TKO Group Holdings, we are evaluating our existing operations and systems to identify potential synergies across the business. This effort includes workforce reductions, which will take place tomorrow [September 15]"
The merger between WWE and UFC to form TKO became official on September 12.
