Rey Mysterio might be able to see again after "losing his eye" at the Horror Show at Extreme Rules. WWE announced Rey's optic nerve is intact and back in its socket. It is unknown when he'll return to the ring, but his vision is improving each day.

After the sickening conclusion of the Eye for an Eye Match Sunday night, Charly Caruso provided an update on the condition of Mysterio. Mysterio was rushed to a local medical facility to be treated for a potential globe luxation. Medical experts were optimistic that if the optic nerve is not severed and there is not too much strain on the blood vessels and nerves that connect the eye to the rest of the head, there’s a chance Mysterio can maintain his vision.

It was reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Mysterio had not signed a new contract with WWE as of Monday, July 20.
Mysterio has been off television since Extreme Rules, but his son Dominik confronted Seth Rollins, the man who took his father's eye, on Monday's WWE Raw.
