WWE Smackdown on FOX Results for 5/21/21 Intercontinental Title Fatal Four Way Match

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of WWE Smackdown on FOX!

- We open tonight's show with Sonya Deville where she has all of the champions on the blue brand come out onto the stage before announcing a parade for later tonight. Paul Heyman then comes out and says that things will be on Roman Reigns' time before leaving. Bayley then shows up and mocks all of the champions aside from Apollo and Azeez before Bianca rushes the ring and brawls with Bayley before the women's locker room clears and Bayley helps Shayna and Nia take out Tamina and Natalya as we go to commercial.

Bianca Belair, Tamina & Natalya vs Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax & Bayley

We come back from the break to the match already in progress as the heels isolate Tamina until she gets the hot tag to Natty who suplexes Bayley repeatedly before Bayley pulls her down by her hair. Shayna then comes in and focuses on the arm of Natty before she hits Nia with a stunner and tags in Bianca who clears the ring before hitting a tope as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Tamina in control of Bayley before superkicking her for a near fall before Natalya locks in a sharpshooter that Shayna breaks up before Tamina headbutts Shayna. Everyone then hits a move until Shayna submits Natalya with the Kirifuda Clutch for the win.

Winner: Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, and Bayley defeat Natalya, Tamina, and Bianca Belair via submission.

- We get a video package promo by Aleister Black ahead of his return to in-ring action.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin

We come back from the break to the match already in progress with Corbin in control before Shin briefly comes back with strikes and Corbin starts focusing on his arm before Shin comes back with strikes and kicks before Corbin dodges a Kinshasa and hits a German for two before Shin counters a chokeslam. Corbin then hits Shin with a Deep Six for a deep two count before Shin counters The End of Days into a pin for the win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura defeats Baron Corbin via pinfall.

- Universal champion Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Jey Uso make their way out to the ring as we go to commercial.

- We come back from the break as Roman gets on the mic before Paul speaks briefly and they're interrupted by Cesaro who Roman immediately denounces and tells him to leave before Cesaro mocks Roman even though he has his arm in a sling as he makes his way down to the ring. Cesaro is then attacked from behind by Seth Rollins before he's escorted to the back by agents only to rush back out and hit Cesaro with an arm drag with his bad arm before hitting him with a curb stomp before Seth leaves only to come back and hit a second curb stomp before finally leaving to the back as a stretcher comes out for Cesaro as we go to commercial.

- We come back from the break where Seth is briefly interviewed before he says that he blacked out before running up to Cesaro on the stretcher and asking why he makes him act so violent when he is around before they wheel Cesaro away.

Dominik Mysterio vs Robert Roode

Roode immediately uses his strength to overpower Dom before Dom gets two off of a pin attempt out of nowhere before Roode drives him into the corner and sets him up top before Dom shoves him down and hits a diving cross body for two as Rey looks on from ringside before Roode counters a tornado DDT. Roode then stacks Dom up for a near fall after Dom takes out Dolph at ringside before Dom hits a 619 into a diving splash for the pin and the win.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio defeats Robert Roode via pinfall.

- Backstage Jey runs into his brother Jimmy before Jey leaves and we go to the locker room where Roman meets with Jey.

- We get a bacsktage promo by former Tag Team champions Street Profits who are coming for the tag titles.

- A rematch for the Women's Tag Team titles is announced for next week as well as Street Profits versus the return of The Usos tag team.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Fatal Four Way Match
Apollo Crews (c) (w/ Commander Azeez) vs Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens vs Big E

KO immediately attacks Sami as E and Apollo exchange strikes before E sends Apollo out of the ring and KO sends him out of the ring before Sami attacks KO and beats on him on the mat before choking him in the ropes before E pulls Sami over the top rope and down onto the floor. E then beats on Sami on the apron before dropping Apollo with a forearm before lying him next to Sami and hitting a splash onto the apron onto the both of them before KO takes him out with a tope as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Apollo and Sami at ringside before Sami hits a moonsault off of the barricade and KO attacks Sami before tossing him into the ring and hitting a Swanton Bomb for a deep two count that E breaks up before E and KO exchange strikes until Apollo hits a series of Germans for two. Sami suplexes KO into the corner before KO dodges a Helluva Kick and Sami rolls KO up for two before hitting a driver for another two count before KO hits a superplex for a near fall that Apollo breaks up before Apollo hits an AA onto the apron. E then hits a spear through the ropes to Apollo and knocks him off of the apron and onto the floor as we go to commercial.

E suplexes both Sami and Apollo before KO hits E with a diving splash for two before KO hits Sami with a cannonball and suplexes Apollo and E before KO hits them with a cannonball before Sami hits KO with an exploder and a blue thunderbomb for a near fall before KO takes out Sami before hitting Apollo with a pop-up powerbomb for a near fall. Everyone then hit a move until E hits Apollo with the Big Ending and Azeez drags him out of the ring before E sends Azeez into the post before Aleister Black gets into the ring and drops E with Black Mass before leaving and Apollo pins E.

Winner: Apollo Crews retains his Intercontinental title by defeating Big E, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn via pinfall.
