WWE SmackDown Live 10/23 Viewership Unsurprisingly Down From SmackDown 1000 Episode

SmackDown Live failed to retain the boost in viewership from SmackDown 1000.

ShowBuzzDaily reports that Tuesday's edition of SmackDown Live drew 2,087,000 views. The special SmackDown 1000 episode finished with 2,545,000 viewers. The loss in viewership wasn't unexpected given that WWE always pops a rating and viewership numbers for special episodes of Raw and SmackDown. Perhaps more concerning is that the Oct. 9 edition of the show was watched by 2,135,000 viewers.

Tuesday's episode finished with a 0.69 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

The show still finished number one on cable, marking the first time the show has been at No. 1 since Sept. 25. They didn't have any competition on the night in terms of sports as the World Series was on FOX and there were no NBA games on TNT or ESPN.
