WWE SmackDown (1/3) Records Slight Decrease In Average Viewership Against Heavy Sports Competition

Viewership and ratings information for the January 3 episode of WWE SmackDown.

According to Programming Insider, WWE SmackDown on January 3 drew 1.528 million viewers. This number is up from the 1.568 million viewers the show drew on December 27.

Friday's episode scored a 0.45 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is the same demo rating that the show recorded last Friday.

SmackDown faced competition from the Mayo Bowl game between Virginia Tech and Minnesota on ESPN. That game averaged 3.38M viewers and a 0.65 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The show also faced competition from the college basketball game between Michigan State and Ohio State. That game averaged 1.1M viewers and a 0.20 rating on Fox.
