The WWE Universal Championship has been unveiled, and it left many people underwhelmed.
Fightful.com reported several weeks ago that the new WWE Universal Championship would be similar to the WWE Championship with a red design, and that's precisely what WWE did -- to an extreme degree.
Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins to capture the title in his first WWE PPV match.
The new red championship was mocked mercilessly by fans both online and in attendance at SummerSlam. The title was added to the WWE Raw brand after WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose was drafted to Smackdown and took the title with him.
