In a shocking throwback, second-ever Ring of Honor Champion, Xavier, has accepted Jay Lethal's challenge for the Past vs. Present show in Las Vegas on March 14.
Appearing on ROH's first show in 2002, Xavier was a staple of Ring of Honor's early years. The franchise of ROH now, Jay Lethal challenged Xavier to a match for 3/14, and Xavier has accepted via Twitter with a very visceral comeback.
Choices, life's about choices and all choices are rooted deep inside the character," Xavier began. "I chose to leave professional wrestling many years ago, leaving the glitz and the glamour, the girls and the money for family, that's important to me. While you, Jay Lethal, chose to be Samoa Joe's protege, being successful, winning multiple titles. Hell, even being called "The Wrestler of the Decade." But you know, with all that success deep down inside, you can't call yourself "the greatest wrestler" when you haven't beaten the all-around the best. So understand this, Jay, I don't need to wrestle you. You need to wrestle me. And come March 14th for your "challenge..." I accept. And you're going to find out that your choices, your choices. Jay, have lethal consequences when this Ring of Honor OG breaks the face of Ring of Honor."
