Xavier Woods On How Injury Recovery Is Going, If There's A Timetable For In-Ring Return

Xavier Woods gives an update on his injury recovery and if there’s a timetable for an in-ring return.

Speaking on the most recent episode of The Bump, the injured Woods talked about his time away from the ring as he recovers from a torn achilles he suffered last year. In that time, his fellow New Day members Big E and Kofi Kingston won the SmackDown Tag Team titles not once, but twice. When asked about, Woods said it feels great winning championships from the comfort of his own home.

“It’s fantastic because I believe it’s the second time I’ve been able to do that on this one injury alone. I feel pretty. I feel pretty good to be honest,” Woods said.

In regards to a specific window for his return, Woods isn’t sure when he’ll return to the ring. He did say he is feeling well and is able to do some movement. While injured, Woods has been keeping himself busy, from his podcasting duties to even doing video game reviews.

“I unfortunately don’t know when I’ll be back to in-ring action, but I am feeling pretty good. I am moving around, doing calf raises and whatnot. Things are coming along, I can’t let the goose out of the hen just yet. I’m feeling pretty good," Woods said.
