The Young Guns: We Thought It’s Time To Make PROGRESS What It Once Was And Take Over

Luke Jacobs and Ethan Allen plan to take over PROGRESS.

At PROGRESS Chapter 172 last weekend, Luke Jacobs defended the PROGRESS World Championship in singles action when he faced off with Man Like DeReiss. As the match reached it's conclusion, Ethan Allen would storm the ring and attack DeReiss to aid his Young Guns partner Jacobs with the victory.

Shortly after the event, PROGRESS sat down with The Young Guns to discuss their partnership in PROGRESS, with the pair noting they want to re-establish what PROGRESS once was and take over the promotion. The pair were asked about joining forces.

Luke Jacobs: The moment we decided to join forces? That happened 8 years ago, we have each others back no matter what and you saw that on Sunday.

Ethan Allen: It’s been a long time coming. PROGRESS was ours during COVID, no one did more shows than us, we kept the company afloat so we thought it’s time to make PROGRESS what it once was and take over. DeReiss puts on a show, but we’re not showmen so we thought we’ll put a stop to his ego trip and knock him down a peg.

The pair have long been allies on the UK scene, most notably also partnering up in RevPro, where Jacobs is also the world champion.

Jacobs is scheduled to defend his British Heavyweight Championship next at RevPro Uprising in December. You can read more about that here.
