Zack Sabre Jr. Wants To Face Bryan Danielson At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

There is no time for subtlety, Zack Sabre Jr. wants Bryan Danielson in Chicago.

Following NJPW Dominion, Zack Sabre Jr. revealed in his post-match promo that he has been sending subtle messages to Bryan Danielson. In a post-match interview, Sabre took umbrage with the fact that NJPW staff seemingly edited out a challenge directed at Bryan for a potential match in Chicago, the site of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Aubrey Edwards: It’s Incredible To See All Of The Things That AEW Has Been Through As A Company

"Last week, after Budokan, I was trying to be nice and subtle," Zack Sabre Jr began. "I hummed the theme to 'Final Countdown' very beautifully. But I changed the lyrics [from] are we heading to Venus' to 'are we heading to Chicago.' Presumably, because I've got the voice of an angel, you bastards edited it out, didn't you? So no more time for subtlety. American Dragon, can you take some time out of your busy golfing schedule at the 'Blackpool Country Club' to find out who the best technical wrestler in the world is? But I'll tell you now, darling, it's fucking me!"

In the past, Danielson has spoken glowingly about the abilities of Zack Sabre Jr. even saying that he wanted to wrestle ZSJ in England.

Bryan Danielson hasn’t appeared on AEW Dynamite since AEW Double or Nothing. Bryan Danielson was involved in Anarchy in the Arena against Chris Jericho and The Jericho Appreciation Society. In the match, Bryan was choked out by Jake Hager and the venue for a meet-and-greet in Massachusetts recently stated that Danielson was injured. Learn more here.

One match that is concrete for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is Jon Moxley vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for the interim AEW World Championship. Tanahashi earned his spot by defeating Hirooki Goto at NJPW Dominion. You can see the full results here.
