Zoey Stark Says It's A Pet Peeve Of Hers When NIL Athletes Say WWE Is 'Simply An Option' In Promos

Zoey Stark attended the WWE NIL tryouts during SummerSlam weekend in Detroit, and she was rubbed the wrong why by a couple of performers.

Daniel Trainor of The Messenger did a feature on the tryouts, which included current and former college athletes looking to get signed by WWE.

In the feature, it's noted that Stark was "rubbed the wrong way" by certain athletes because, in their promos, they "insinuated that WWE was simply an 'option' for them as they figure out their next professional steps."

"That's such a pet peeve of mine," she said. "I wanted to stand up and say, 'Why the hell are you here then?' Go back on the football field if that makes you happy. That's fine. I have people who would kill to be in your very position and that's a slap in the face."

Stark also said in the feature, "you can definitely tell right away" if someone has the "it" factor.

Fightful spoke with Stark during WWE SummerSlam weekend and got future details and context on her comments regarding NIL tryouts. The interview will be coming soon on our YouTube channel.

Stark was in action on WWE Raw, taking on Shayna Baszler. Fans can find Fightful's report on the show by clicking here.
