WWE Raw Results For 7/24: A Partial Shield Reunion, Universal Title Match Announced & A Women's Title Top Contender Is Crowned

Kevin Owens And Randy Orton Brawl Around The Arena At WWE Crown Jewel, Orton RKOs Adam Pearce

We start of with a video package highlighting the main event of last week’s Raw, where Braun Strowman returned to interrupt the main event match between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe.

Raw GM Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring, Angle welcomes the fans to Raw and he talks about his private matter affected his job in recent months. Angle says he has been making up for lost time with his son Jason Jordan this past week and he has his first match on Raw tonight. Angle then talks about last weeks main event between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, but he is then interrupted by Braun Strowman. Strowman says that unlike Reigns and Joe, he won his match at WWE Great Balls Of Fire and he doesn’t fear Brock Lesnar.

Strowman then promises to break Lesnar an half at WWE Summerslam, Samoa Joe interrupts and makes his way to the ring. Joe wants to make things simple for everybody, Joe talks about how he and Strowman have never crossed paths thus far in the WWE. Joe says he doesn’t fear Lesnar nor does he fear Strowman and he says all Strowman did last week was save Reigns from a beating. Joe says give him Lesnar at WWE Summerlsam, while making Reigns and Strowman settle their issues at the event. Reigns interrupts as well and he makes his way to the ring, Reigns says that Joe and Strowman haven’t done anything in the WWE.

Reigns then talks about all of his accomplishments and the retirement of The Undertaker, the three combatants are about to brawl until Angle gets in the middle to break it up. Angel then announces WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar versus Samoa Joe versus Roman Reigns versus Braun Strowman for the title at WWE Summerslam. Reigns attacks Strowman and Joe joins in on the action, Joe and Reigns work together to throw Strowman into the crowd. Joe turns on Reigns and they brawl as WWE officials make their way out, Strowman returns to take out his adversaries. WWE security hits the ring and Strowman destroys the security team, the entire WWE locker rooms empties to separate everybody. Strowman starts taking everybody out until Reigns catches him with a spear, Strowman gets back up and he destroys Reigns with a power slam.

Elias Samson is in the ring and he is ready to perform, Samson wants to know who will walk with Elias? Samson wants to dedicate the following song to Finn Balor and he starts playing the song until he is interrupted by Balor.

No DQ Match

Finn Balor vs. Elias Samson

The match begins with Balor throwing his jacket at Samson and then attacking him with strikes in the corner, Balor tosses Samson out of the ring before landing a baseball slide dropkick. Balor catches Samson with a few more strikes before tossing him back into the ring, Samson rolls back out of the ring and Balor jumps him from behind as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Balor throwing Samson into the barricade, Balor tosses Samson into the ring and then Samson drops him with a clothesline a short time later.

Samson drops Balor with a series of strikes before just stomping away on him, Samson drags Balor to the ring eldge before smashing his shoulder on the mat a few times. Samson traps Balor in the middle of the ring and he works over Balor’s arm more, Balor tries fighting back and Samson drops him before landing a knee drop to the injured shoulder. Samson drags Balor to the corner and he smashes his arm on the ring post, Samson finds a steel chair and he brings it in the ring. Balor attacks Samson as he hit the ring and the chair falls out of the ring, Samson looks for a sunset flip and Balor winds up nailing him with a drop kick.

Samson recovers and he attacks Balor with shoulder strikes in the corner. Samson drops Balor and he works over the injured shoulder some more. Balor fights back again and he catches a downed Samson with a drop kick to the side of the head, Balor then mauls Samson with strikes in the corner. Balor brings the steel chair into the ring and Samson gets his hands on it, Samson then cracks Balor with a chair shot as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Samson knocking Balor out of the ring, Samson then shoves Balor into the barricade before bringing him back into the ring.

Samson then nails a hurt Balor with a shoulder breaker for a near fall, Samson grabs the chair and he wedges it in between the ropes in the corner. Balor winds up reversing Samson and throwing him into the chair, Samson and Balor exchange strikes until Balor drops him with an overhead kick. Samson slows Balor down and he tosses him out of the ring, Balor gets back up and he traps Samson in the ring apron while nailing him with a plethora of strikes and stomps. Balor then catches a dezed Samson with a penalty kick, Balor follows that up by knocking Samson into the barricade with a shotgun drop kick.

Balor throws Samson into the ring before bringing the steel chair into the ring, Balor then cracks Samson with a series of chair shots to the back. Samson retreats to the corner and Balor catches him with a pair of drop kick, Balor goes to the top rope and he nails Samson with a top rope double stomp. Bray Wyatt hits the ring and he takes out Balor with a Sister Abigail, Samson then gets the three count on a downed Balor.

Winner: Elias Samson

After the match, Wyatt crawls over to a downed Balor and tells him to "Fllow The Buzzards."

A video package is next, highlighting Raw GM Kurt Angle’s announcement that Jason Jordan is his son.

Renee Young interviews Kurt Angle backstage, the Raw GM admits it has been a heck of a week and he says that Jason Jordan wants to prove he can do it on his own. Angle says he has butterflies in his stomach, but Emma interrupts and she wants to know when the focus is going to be on her. Emma then says she may start dating Jordan, Angle then makes her versus Nia Jax for tonight.

Enzo Amore is backstage when the Big Show approaches him, Enzo says he needs to prove to Big Cass that he made a mistake when he turned on him.

Enzo Amore makes his way to the ring while doing his usual shtick on the microphone.

Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass

The match begins with Amore nailing Cass with a drop kick to the leg, Amore jumps on the back of Cass and he is quickly knocked off. Amore looks for another drop kick and Cass shoves him away, Cass grabs a downed Amore and he tosses him across the ring. Cass picks up Amore and Amore breaks free to lock in a sleeper hold, Cass shakes him off before catching him with a choke slam. Cass gets up and he nails Amore with a few elbow drops, Amore gets to his knees and Cass kicks him in the midsection. Cass then decides to just stand on the head of Amore while taunting the crowd, Cass traps Amore on the top rope while pounding him with strikes on the back.

Amore starts fighting back and Cass smashes his head on the top turnbuckle multiple times, Amore goes down and Cass stomps away on him. Cass then clobbers Amore with a running boot to the face for the three count.

Winner: Big Cass

After the match, Cass continues his attack on Amore until the Big Show comes out, Cass threatens to snap the neck of Amore if Show comes in the ring. Show hits the ring and Cass shoves Amore into him before nailing him with a boot to the face, Cass attacks Show further until nailing him with a few Empire Elbow drops. Show tries fighting back and Cass nails him with a boot to the face followed by more Empire Elbow drops. Cass then stomps away on a downed Show before just choking him.

Renee Young interviews WWE Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss backstage, Bliss says she isn't worried about WWE Summerslam and she says the friendship of her two potential opponents will explode. Bliss says Sasha Bank's ego cannot handle a loss to Bayley, while a loss for Bayley will cause her to sit home and cry.

Emma vs. Nia Jax

The match begins with Emma hiding in the ropes before kicking Jax, Jax gets mad and she shoves Emma to the ground. Emma recovers and catches Jax with a few drop kicks, Emma traps Jax in the corner with some punches. Jax quickly drops Emma with a shoulder tackle before tossing her across the ring, Jax then hits Emma with an avalanche in the corner. Jax then hits Emma with a running senton bomb for the three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

Akira Tozawa is interviewed backstage, but highlights of his feud with Ariya Daivari are shown first. Tozawa says the highlights are why he wants a rematch with Daivari, TItus O’Neil appears and he says Tozawa’s shoulder is injured and he isn’t competing tonight. Tozawa gets angry and he says he’s going to the ring right now, O’Neil follows Tozawa backstage while trying to convince him not to compete tonight. Tozawa makes his way to the ring and O’Neil is in the ring with him, Tozawa shoves O’Neil and we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break with Tozawa in the ring with a microphone, Tozawa demands Ariya Daivari come out to the ring and face him. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville comes out with a microphone in hand, Neville takes credit for the shoulder injury that Tozawa suffered. Neville also asks Tozawa about how far his relationship with Titus O’Neil got him, Neville then proceeds to insult Tozawa before he is attacked. Tozawa drops Neville before crushing him with a senton bomb, Ariya Daivari hits the ring and he lays out Tozawa. Daivari also attacks Neville and he lays him out as well.

Bayley is shown getting ready backstage when Sasha Banks appears, Banks is angry at the comments made by Alexa Bliss and Bayley says their friendship will not end. Banks says she wants to get her hands on Bliss, but Bayley wants her to focus on their match tonight. Banks proposes that they tear the house down tonight and that the best woman will win tonight.

Highlights are shown from earlier on Raw, where Raw GM Kurt Angle announced the WWE Universal Title Match for WWE Summerslam.

Renee Young interviews Jason Jordan backstage, Jordan says he is grateful for the opportunity to compete on Raw and he knows all the eyes are on him. Jordan says its incredible that Kurt Angle is his father, then says he grew up idolizing Angle and Angle is his hero.

Dean Ambrose is taping his hands backstage when Seth Rollins arrives, Rollins says he is looking forward to teaming up tonight. Rollins says he wants to come up with a game plan and Ambrose says he will do what he always does, Ambrose says he still worries about Rollins potentially attacking him.

Bayley makes her way to the ring as we go to the commercial break.

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss makes her way to the commentary station before the match begins.

WWE Raw Women’s Title #1 Contenders Match

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

The match begins with Banks dropping Bayley with a shoulder tackle, Banks starts working over the arm of Bayley. Bayley then catches Banks with a roll up for a near fall, Bayley also starts working over tha arm of Banks. Bayley catches banks with a few more roll ups for a few more near falls, Banks recovers and she catches Bayley with an arm drag. Bayley gets Banks in the corner before catching her with a running clothesline, Bayley then catches a charging Banks with a back body drop. Banks is in the corner and Bayley nails her with a few strikes, Bayley goes to the middle rope and Banks shoves her off to the arena floor as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Banks bending Bayley backwards, Banks keeps Bayley down while holding her in the scarf hold. Bayley tries fighting back and Banks throws her into the corner, Banks charges at Bayley and Bayley drops her on the top turnbuckle. Bayley drops Banks with a rope assisted ace crusher for a near fall, Banks recovers and she hits Bayley with a knee strike to the face. Banks traps Bayley in the corner before nailing her with a running knee strike, Banks locks Bayley in the Bank Statement. Bayley breaks the Bank Statement and Banks locks her in a camel clutch, Bayley gets up and she knocks Banks off of her.

Bayley and Banks get into a slapping exchange in the middle of the ring, Banks eventually tosses Bayley into the corner before landing a double knee strike. Banks goes to the top rope and she misses a diving knee strike, Bayley then catches Banks with a running knee strike. Banks recovers and nails Bayley with a shining wizard, Bayley and Banks get into another striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Bayley eventually drops Banks with a spinning elbow strike, Banks rolls to the ring apron before nailing Bayley with a knee strike. Banks goes back to the top rope and Bayley meets her up there, the two battle until Banks drops Bayley. Banks catches Bayley with a frig splash for a near fall, Bayley catches Banks with a pinning combination from out of nowhere for a three count.

Winner: Bayley

After the match, Alexa Bliss makes her way to the ring and she shows off her title belt to Bayley.

Renee Young interviews Curt Hawkins, who promises to ruin the Raw debut of Jason Jordan.

Jason Jordan vs. Curt Hawkins

The match begins with Hawkins nailing Jordan before the bell sounds, Jordan slams Hawkins and cross faces him multiple times after the bell rings. Jordan then catches Hawkins with a back suplex for a near fall, Hawkins rolls to the arena floor and he pops Jordan with a right as he reaches for him. Hawkins then nails a downed Jordan with some more strikes, Jordan gets up and he drops Hawkins with forearm strikes. Jordan crushes Hawkins with an overhead release suplex followed by a spear in the corner, Jordan nails Hawkins with an elevated neck breaker for the three count.

Winner: Jason Jordan

Highlights are shown of the feud between The Revival and The Hardy Boyz.

The Revival are shown backstage.

Charly Caruso is in the ring and she brings out The Revival, Dawson interrupts Caruso and he says that they are handling the interview as they tell Caruso to leave. Wilder says The Revival is so great because they dominated WWE NXT and then says they are the future of the tag division on WWE Raw. Dawson says they sent The New Day to WWE Smackdown and then defeated The hardy Boys, they are then interrupted by Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows.

Anderson says that they did it all first before The Revival did it, Anderson and Gallows question The Revivals claim to be the top guys in the WWE.

The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) vs. Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows

The match begins with Dawson backing Anderson into the corner before eating a slap, Dawson traps Anderson in the corner before tagging Wilder in. The Revival double team Anderson in the corner with a multitude of strikes, Dawson tags back in and he attacks Anderson with some more strikes. Anderson recovers and he drops Dawson with a back elbow strike, Gallows tags in and The Revival get the referee distracted so they can work over Gallows. Wilder tags in and Gallows immediately drops both of The Revival, Gallowd eventually knocks both members of The Revival out of the ring as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Dawson working over the arm of Anderson, Dawson then levels Anderson with a European uppercut. Wilder tags in and Anderson drops him with a leg lariat, Gallows tags in just as Dawson gets the tag from Wilder. Gallows catches Dawson with an avalanche before landing a boot to the face, Gallows follows that up by nailing Dawson with a splash. Anderson tags in and Wilder interrupts a boot of doom attempt, The Hardy Boyz music hits and they distract The Revival. Anderson and gallows toss The Revival out of the ring. Anderson is also distracted by The Hardy Boyz, The Revival hit a distracted Anderson with the Shatter Machine to get the three count.

Winners: The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson)

After the match, the Hardy Boyz lay out The Revival.

Backstage, The Miz and his crew are preparing backstage and The Miz says that they are all a family. The Miz says that they must go out tonight to prove that they are the most dominant group in the WWE.

Handicapped Match

Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins vs. The Miz, Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas w/Maryse

The match begins with Ambrose launching a tagged in Axel into the ring, Ambrose thenmauls Axel with strikes in the corner. Ambrose follows that up by catching Axel with a clothesline followed by elbow strikes, Rollins tags in and he slams Axel before landing a knee drop. Dallas tags in as Rollins knocks Axel out of the ring, Rollins drops Dallas before catching him with a penalty kick. Dallas catches Rollins with a drop kick and he tags Miz into the match, Miz then nails Rollins with a kick to the head followed by elbow strikes. Miz slows things down by holding Rollins in the chin lock, Rollins recovers after dropping Miz with a sling blade.

Rollins tags Ambrose into the match after eating a jaw breaker from Miz, Miz goes out of the ring and Ambrose chases him back into the ring. Axel tags in and he is nailed with double team moves by his opponents, Dallas hits the ring and he is taken out by some double team moves as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Rollins nailing Dallas with a back suplex, Miz tags in and he drops Rollins quickly. Miz then chokes Rollins on the middle rope before just stomping away on him, Miz holds Rollins down with a front face lock. Miz releases the face lock to catch Rollins with a neck breaker followed by a back braeker for a near fall, Axel tags into the match to hit Rollins with a rolling neck breaker.

Axel then stomps away on and chokes a downed Rollins, Axel also starts wrenching away on the arm of Rollins. Rollins tries fighting back and Axel nails him with a drop kick, Dallas tags in and he cracks Rollins with a series of knee drops. Miz tags back in and he stomps away on a downed Rollins, Miz traps Rollins in the corner while nailing him with strikes. Rollins fights back and Miz levels him with a DDT for a near fall, Miz also starts attacking Rollins with the It Kicks. Rollins and Miz drop each other simultaneously with clotheslines, Axel tags in and Rollins launches him into the turnbuckle.  

Ambrose tags in and he cleans house on the opposition, Ambrose hits Dallas with a bulldog while nailing Axel with a clothesline. Ambrose meets Miz on the arena floor and he throws him into the time keepers area, Ambrose then drops Dallas with a clothesline. Ambrose gets to the top rope and he catches Dallas with a diving elbow drop, Rollins is pulled out of the ring and thrown into the barricade by Axel. Axel tags in and he avoids a Dirty Deeds from Ambrose, Miz tags in and he hits Ambrose with a Skull Crushing Finale for a near fall. Rollins is then laid out by a clothesline from Miz, Ambrose then sends a charging Miz out of the ring and to the arena floor.

Ambrose and Rollins take out Axel and Dallas with suicide dives, Miz then catches Ambrose with a roll up for a near fall. Rollins catches Miz with a flying knee strike and Ambrose nails him with a Dirty Deeds for the three count.

Winners: Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins

After the match, Rollins wants to pound the fist of Ambrose and Ambrose leaves the ring.
