WWE Summerslam Results

This is the Fightful.com live coverage for WWE Summerslam! The day is finally here, the second biggest show of the WWE calendar year and this one is jammed packed! We have a two hour pre-show and a total of thirteen matches including in our main event Brock Lesnar defends his WWE Universal Championship against Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman! We also Jinder Mahal defending his WWE World Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura and much more so be sure to come 5 PM EST for the pre-show where we will have Akira Tozawa defending his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Neville and the Hardyz team up with Jason Jordan to take on the Miztourage!

Pre-Show

Toni Storm To Compete At AEW Dynamite On 34th Street

-We have a quick interview segment with Baron Corbin where he tries to cut a promo, but messes up before leaving. Next we get a video package for Finn and Bray and how Finn will be bringing the demon to their match later this evening. We then get a video package for how Shane McMahon became the special guest referee for the WWE United States Championship Match when he challenges AJ Styles after two weeks of WWE official mishaps. We then have an interview with Shane backstage where he says that he will call the match right down the middle tonight before leaving. 

The Hardy Boyz & Jason Jordan vs The Miztourage

Matt and Curtis start the match off by locking up for a clean break before exchanging headlocks. Matt tags Jeff in before they hit Poetry in Motion and Jeff hits a snapmare into a dropkick for a quick two count. Jeff tags Jason in who immediately gets dragged over into the opposite corner and double teamed. Bo gets thrown around by Jordan, Jason showing off his athleticism and power before tagging Matt in. Matt tags Jeff in and they triple team him before the rest of the Miztourage come in, only to be sent back out of the ring by the Hardyz as we go to commercial.

Jeff is in control of Bo as we come back from commercial, getting a quick two count before he's yanked off of the top rope. The Miz comes in and drops Jeff with a knee for a quick two count before tagging Curtis back in. Jeff fights his way to his corner and tags Matt in who beats on Miz in the corner before hitting an elbow drop off of the top rope for a quick two count. Jordan tags in and takes out both Bo and Curtis for a near fall before Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Miztourage via pinfall

-We have a video package for Cesaro and Sheamus taking on Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins before they're in a sit down interview segment about their match later this evening. They answer a variety of questions submitted by the WWE Universe on social media.

Akira Tozawa vs Neville WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match

They lock up to start the match before Neville drops Tozawa with a shoulder block and a dropkick. Tozawa tosses Neville over the top rope before dropkicking him off of the apron and to the floor. Neville gingerly gets back in the ring before Tozawa drops him with a boot before hitting a PK into a high angle senton. Neville sends Tozawa to the outside before tossing him into the LED board as we go to commercial.

Neville hits several missile dropkick as we come back from commercial, first in the front, then from the back before playing to the crowd. Neville keeps the high flyer grounded with a headlock until Tozawa tosses Neville out of the ring, Tozawa immediately following up with a tope to the outside onto Neville on the floor. Neville crawls back into the ring to get away from Tozawa only for Tozawa to hit a series of running forearms in the corner. Neville catches him, but Tozawa immediately locks in an octopus stretch before rolling him up for a near fall. Tozawa follows up with a shining wizard for a near fall before they exchange kicks until they both collapse to the mat. 

Neville starts focusing on injured shoulder of Tozawa before Tozawa drops him with a right hand. Neville catches him on the top rope, but Tozawa knocks him off before going for the high angle senton. Neville gets his knees up before Neville hits the Red Arrow to the back of Tozawa for the pin and the win.

Winner: Neville via pinfall

New Day (Xavier Woods & Big-E) vs The Usos WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Championship Match

Jimmy and Xavier start the match off by showing off their speed and athleticism until Woods drops Jimmy with a forearm for a quick two count. Xavier chops Jimmy in the corner before hitting a running clothesline in the corner. Jimmy catches Xavier coming off of the top rope with a right hand off of the distraction by Jey as we go to commercial.

Jey is in control as we come back from commercial, keeping Xavier grounded with a headlock before tossing him into the corner when he nearly tags in E. Jey sets him on the top rope before Xavier knocks him off and hits a missile dropkick. The Usos take control after Jimmy sends E off of the apron, keeping him isolated in their corner and their side of the ring once they pull him out of the ring. They get back in the ring and hit a double team move off of the top rope for a near fall before tagging in and out, E very eager to get into the match. Jimmy hits a back drop before Xavier counters a second one into a rolling facebuster before tagging in Big-E.

E takes out Jimmy before hitting a uranage to Jey for a near fall. E then powerbombs Xavier onto Jey for a near fall before the Usos hit a double spinebuster for a near fall. New Day then hit a uranage backstabber combination for a close near fall before the Usos hit a double splash off of the top rope for a very close near fall of their own. Xavier hits a shining wizard for a near fall before hitting a double team move for yet another near fall. Everyone takes each other out at ringside before the Usos hit E with a series of superkicks and a double splash off of the top rope for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Usos via pinfall

-We have a long, convoluted commercial for KFC before Shawn Michaels comes out dressed as Colonel Sanders. We then have Paul Heyman in an interview segment backstage where he just grabs the mic and talks about how Brock is going to destroy the three challengers for his WWE Universal Championship before Braun shows up and scares him off after saying that he talks too much.

Main Show

John Cena vs Baron Corbin

Cena plays mind games to start the match, avoiding Corbin and playing to the crowd before Cena puts and keeps Corbin in a headlock until the referee makes him back off when they get into the corner. Corbin hits Cena with a right hand before stomping on him in the corner. Corbin drops Cena with a boot before mocking him until John tries to fight back, only for Corbin to drop him with a clothesline for a quick two count. Corbin yells at John before hitting him with several right hands and a suplex, all the while arguing with the official and playing to the crowd. Corbin catches John coming off of the ropes and hits a slam for a quick two count before playing to the crowd more until John hits a dropkick that sends Corbin back into the corner.

Corbin drops John almost immediately after before John comes back with a series of moves and the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Corbin rolls out of the way and hits a chokebreaker. Corbin sets John on the top rope, but John headbutts him away before hitting a tornado DDT and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Corbin counters the AA into the Deep Six for a near fall before beating on him with right hands and forearm shots. Corbin beats on John in the corner until the official pulls him off, John catching him coming in with a clothesline before hitting the AA for the pin and the win.

Winner: John Cena via pinfall

Naomi vs Natalya WWE Smackdown! Women's Championship Match

Natalya slaps Naomi immediately before Naomi hits a huricanrrana and slaps her back, Natalya rolling out of the ring to regroup, but Naomi goes after her and hits a blockbuster off of the apron and to the floor. Naomi rolls her back into the ring for a quick two count before Natalya starts focusing on the leg of Naomi. Natalya launches her face first into the ring post before tossing her back into the ring for a quick two count. Natalya stomps Naomi in the corner until the official pulls her away, Natalya playing to the crowd before hitting a suplex for another quick two count. Natalya hits a snap suplex for a quick two count before Naomi rolls her up for a quick two count.

Natalya hits a discus clothesline for a quick two count before Naomi catches her on the top rope and hits a Russian leg sweep off of the second rope for a quick two count. Naomi hits a series of kicks before Natalya dropkicks her for a quick two count. Naomi hits a leg drop off of the top rope for a near fall before Natalya locks in the sharpshooter, but Naomi finds a way out of it by rolling through. Naomi then misses a split legged moonsault and Natalya locks in the sharpshooter again for the tap and the win.

Winner: Natalya via submission

Big Show vs Big Cass

Enzo is put in the shark cage after Cass comes out, but before Big Show does. They lock up to start the match before Show hits Cass with a series of strikes in the corner, dropping him with a shoulder block before chopping him in several corners. Show whips Cass across the ring before stalking him and kicking him every few moments. Show hits a side slam, but lands on his injured right hand before hitting a scoop slam. Show misses an elbow drop off of the top rope, landing on his hand again before Cass hits a running clothesline in the corner.

Show drops Cass with a right hand for a quick two count before Cass drops him with a boot to the midsection. Cass starts focusing on injured hand of Show before locking in a straight armbar. Show comes back with a series of strikes and a running splash in the corner before hitting a chokeslam for a near fall. Cass comes back before Enzo slips out of the shark cage before dropping down into the ring. Cass drops him with a boot once he drops down into the ring before hitting Show with two boots and a jumping elbow for the pin and the win.

Winner: Big Cass via pinfall

Randy Orton vs Rusev

Rusev attacks Randy before the match starts, then Randy hits an RKO out of nowhere after side stepping Rusev when he rushed at him in the corner for the pin and the win.

Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall

Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks WWE RAW Women's Championship Match

They lock up to start the match before Alexa slaps Sasha, then Alexa drops Sasha with a right hand when the official makes her back away. Alexa hits a diving cross body for a quick two count before Sasha catches her on the top rope, but Alexa puts her in a hangman choke before hitting Insult to Injury for a near fall. Sasha rolls Alexa up for a quick two count before Alexa drops her and gets one of her own. Sasha comes back with a series of forearms and a slam from the top rope before hitting a sliding knee. Alexa slaps her before Sasha sends her head first into the top turnbuckle.

Sasha hits running double knees in the corner for a near fall before trying to lock in the Bank Statement, but Alexa is quick to the bottom rope for the break. Sasha goes out of the ring after Alexa, but she pulls the apron and sends her off and to the floor. Sasha injures her shoulder trying to get back in the ring, sent back on to the floor while Alexa plays to the crowd. Sasha gets back in the ring at the count of nine, but Alexa is all over her, beating her down before hitting Twisted Bliss for a near fall. Alexa counters the Bank Statement once, but Alexa taps the second time she applies it for the win.

Winner: Sasha Banks via submission

The Demon Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt

They exchange strikes to start the match before Finn drops Wyatt and kicks him out of the ring. Finn comes out after him and drops him with a running forearm before rolling him back into the ring. They square off before Finn hits a flurry of offense and hits a flipping senton over the top rope and on to Bray on the floor. Finn rolls him back into the ring, but Bray rolls back out of it and suplexes him off of the apron and to the floor. Bray rolls Finn back into the ring before Finn hits a jumping double foot stomp.

Finn sends Bray out of the ring before dropkicking him and hitting a double foot stomp off of the apron. Bray teases Sister Abigail, but Finn counters into a sling blade, Bray coming back with a uranage for a quick two count. Bray hits a running senton for another quick two count before playing to the crowd and mocking Finn. Finn catches Bray on the top rope before driving him down onto the mat for a quick two count. Bray gets out of the ring only for Finn to hit a shotgun dropkick into the barricade before rolling him back into the ring. Bray turns Finn inside out with a lariat for a near fall before Finn hits a sling blade into  shotgun dropkick in the corner. Finn then finishes the Coup De Grace for the pin and the win.

Winner: Finn Balor via pinfall

Cesaro & Sheamus vs Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match

Dean and Cesaro start the match off by locking up before Cesaro quickly tags in Sheamus. Sheamus takes Dean down before they lock up for a clean break and Seth tags himself in. Seth gets backed into the opposite corner and double teamed before Dean tags in and they double team Cesaro. Seth and Dean then clear the ring before Cesaro and Sheamus take out Dean on the apron. Cesaro and Sheamus then catch Seth when he attempts a tope before tossing him in the air and to the floor.

They get back in the ring and Cesaro and Sheamus start tagging in and out and keeping Seth isolated in their corner before Seth fights his way out. Seth has no one to tag as Dean is incapacitated on the floor at ringside, Cesaro running into the crowd and grabbing a beach ball and tearing it to pieces as Sheamus gets a quick two count on Seth. Seth goes to tag in Dean, but the referee stops Dean when he tries to get in the ring, Cesaro and Sheamus double teaming him until Dean dives out on to them at ringside. Dean finally gets tagged in and takes out Sheamus before hitting a swinging neckbreaker to Cesaro. They send the tag team champions over the top rope before hitting a double tope to the outside.

Dean and Seth double team Cesaro for a quick two count before Dean is dropped in midair with a European uppercut for a near fall after sends Seth out of the ring. Dean and Cesaro exchange strikes before they double team Sheamus for a near fall that Cesaro breaks up. Sheamus tries to fight off both Seth and Dean, but to no avail before Cesaro sends Seth out of the ring. Dean goes for Dirty Deeds, but Cesaro counters into a swing before transitioning into a sharpshooter before Sheamus hits a rolling senton to Seth at ringside as Cesaro transitions into a cross face. Dean manages to get out of it before Sheamus and Cesaro hit a double team move for a very close near fall. Seth breaks up another pin attempt before he's sent back out of the ring and Cesaro and Sheamus just opt to beat on Dean. Sheamus goes for White Noise, but Seth hits a frankensteiner that sends Cesaro into him before Seth picks up the pin and the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose via pinfall

AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens WWE United States Championship Match w/ Special Guest Referee Shane McMahon

Kevin shoves AJ and AJ takes him down before Shane even rings the bell to start the match. They exchange strikes to start the match in and out of the ring before AJ drops Kevin with a running knee. AJ tosses him back into the ring, but Kevin is all over him once he's back in stomping on him and yelling at him until AJ drops him. AJ hits a backbreaker and a jumping knee before Kevin turns him inside out with a lariat. Kevin beats on AJ before chopping him in the corner and whipping him hard across the ring, Owens finishing with a cannonball in the corner for a quick two count.

Kevin drops AJ with a lariat before hitting a senton for another quick two count. AJ fights out of a headlock before Kevin drops him, following up with a series of chops around the ring before they start exchanging right hands. AJ hits a sit-out facebuster before Kevin hits a superkick, AJ immediately countering with an ushigaroshi for a quick two count. Kevin bumps Shane and sends him into AJ so he's caught on the top rope before AJ hits a sunset flip powerbomb. AJ hits a springboard 450 splash, but Shane is in the way, then Kevin hits a pop-up powerbomb for a near fall.

Kevin berates Shane before AJ locks in the Calf Killer, but Kevin counters by raking his eyes to get out of it. Kevin then kicks AJ into Shane before AJ locks it in again, Kevin tapping out, but Shane is incapacitated yet again, this time at ringside. AJ argues with Shane this time before Shane shoves him away, Kevin rolling him up for a near fall. Kevin gets caught with a running forearm before AJ hits a suplex into the corner before setting him up on the top rope. Kevin counters into a spinning superplex for a near fall before they exchange strikes until AJ hits the Styles Clash for a very close near fall.

Kevin dodges the Phenomenal Forearm into a pop-up powerbomb for another near fall before Shane and Kevin shoves each other, AJ rolling him up for a near fall. AJ hits a Pele kick and a Phenomenal Forearm before finishing with the Styles Clash for the pin and the win.

Winner: AJ Styles via pinfall

Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura WWE Championship Match

Shinsuke plays mind games to start the match before they exchange wrist locks and head locks. Shinsuke backs Jinder into the ropes for a clean break before Shinsuke tells him to bring it, Shinsuke side stepping Jinder who falls out of the ring. Shinsuke kicks Jinder once he's back on the apron before kicking him off of it and telling him to get back in. Jinder gets back in the ring and takes control momentarily before Shinsuke hits a leg lariat and a jumping knee drop into Good Vibrations in the corner. Jinder rolls out of the ring to regroup, but Shinsuke goes out after him and rolls him back into the ring.

The Singhs distract him so Jinder can kick him off of the apron and into the barricade before rolling him back into the ring. Jinder stomps on Shinsuke and puts him in a shoulder lock that he breaks himself so he can mock Shinsuke and beat him down. Shinsuke comes back with a series of kicks before hitting a single leg dropkick and more kicks. Shinsuke sets him on the top rope and hits the running double knees in the corner for a quick two count before attempting an exploder suplex, but Jinder counters it. Shinsuke counters into a flying triangle armbar, but Jinder is quick to the ropes for the break.

Shinsuke hits a sit-out facebuster before Jinder side steps him and rolls him up for a quick two count before dropping him face first into the top turnbuckle. Shinsuke counters the Khallas before side stepping Jinder who goes shoulder first into the ring post. Shinsuke follows up with a running knee to the back of the head of Jinder before the Singhs interfere, allowing Jinder to hit the Khallas for the pin and the win.

Winner: Jinder Mahal via pinfall

WWE Universal Championship Fatal Four Way Match

They brawl in and out of the ring to start the match, Joe and Brock in the ring with Braun and Roman at ringside. Roman takes out Braun before getting back in the ring and squaring off with Brock before Brock hits a German suplex to both Roman and Joe, sending them out of the ring. Braun gets in the ring and he and Brock take out Roman and Joe when they try to interrupt them. They lock up before Roman tosses Brock into the corner and clotheslines him over the top rope. Roman spears Brock through the barricade before Joe hits a uranage onto the announce table before Braun runs him over. 

Strowman picks Brock up and hits a powerslam through the Spanish announce table before rolling Joe back into the ring, Roman hitting a drive by to Strowman. Joe hits a tope to the outside onto Roman before Strowman throws a roller chair at Joe to keep him down. Strowman hits a powerslam to Brock through the other announce table before pushing the regular announce table over onto Brock. Officials and security manage to get the table off of Brock before they put him on a gurney and start to wheel him away. Braun picks up the ring steps and takes out both Joe and Roman at ringside before Roman hits him with them in the ring until he sends him back out of the ring.

Joe rolls Roman up for a quick two count before hitting a running senton for another quick two count. Roman hits Joe with a Samoan drop before going for a superman punch, but Joe kicks him and locks in the Coquina Clutch. Strowman comes back in and takes them both out with a double chokeslam before Brock comes back out and to the ring. Brock takes Braun down and beats on him before tossing him over the top rope, following up with a German suplex to both Roman and Joe. Brock goes for a German suplex to Braun, but he's too powerful, trying for a Kimura, but Roman breaks it up with a superman punch to both of them.

Roman spears Brock for a near fall before Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch on Roman, then Braun gets a near fall, Brock yanking the referee out of the ring at the last second. Roman hits a superman punch to Braun for a quick two count before Braun catches him with a boot and a running powerslam for a near fall. Brock and Braun tease their finishers before Roman spears Braun, then Joe sends Roman out of the ring, locking in the Coquina Clutch, but Brock fights out of it into an F-5 for a near fall that Roman breaks up. Roman hits Brock with several superman punches before Brock catches him coming in for a spear and hits an F-5 for the pin and the win.
