After months of speculation, the long-rumored WWE Women's Tournament is finally going to happen.
During the the WWE's business partner summit in Orlando on Saturday morning, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H took the stage alongside Smackdown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, Raw Women's Champion Bayley and NXT Women's Champion Asuka to announce the first ever "global Women's Tournament".

The tournament will take place this summer, and will be available exclusively on the WWE Network.
Thirty-two women from 17 different countries will take part in the tournament that looks to build off the success of last year's Cruiserweight Classic as well as the WWE United Kingdom Tournament from over the winter.
In the announcement of the event, Bliss said she was honored to be part of such a historical moment in the company.
“I speak on behalf of all of us, not just the champions standing before you today, but the entire Women's division," she said. "It's truly an honor to be part of another significant movement in WWE history."
There has been no word as to if any of the women participating will already be within the WWE, or if every participant wil be signed solely for the tournament. Also unknown is exactly when or how long the tournament will last.
More details will be announced as the tournament closes in.
