Sean Waltman says he feels awful about the booking in London that he missed due to his arrest at Los Angles International Airport, but he's glad they had other big names booked to keep the fans happy.
Over the past week, Waltman (also known as X-Pac) has been addressing his apparent disappearance and reappearance due to an arrest. On April 29th, he was expected to be in London, England to wrestle the following day for International Pro Wrestling. The promotion reported they were unable to contact X-Pac, it was later found out he had been arrested. On Sam Roberts' Wrestling Podcast, X-Pac discussed his arrest more. he continued to say the alleged methamphetamine capsules were a supplement for yeast infection. He talked more about the customs agent Waltman believes was determined to have him arrested. He also talked about how missing his obligation to the promoter and fans made him feel.
“That's the worst. Luckily for IPW, they had a stacked card. If I had been the only star they brought in, that would have really screwed them. Even now, it screwed them. I feel awful about that. Terrible," said Waltman.
The event Waltman missed was IPW':UK Extreme Measures 2017. The other wrestlers who appeared on the show included Matt Riddle, Pete Dunne, Joey Ryan, and Tommy Dreamer. X-Pac was scheduled not only to be in the ring but also had a meet and greet appearance where fans paid in advance to receive pictures with him. A special "X-Pac IPW:UK" T-Shirt was also available. The promotion was forced to accommodate fans or offer full refunds.
Waltman also talked about how serious he takes his health. He described a fitness regimen and diet which he claims would be impossible if he relapsed.
“I eat a Paleo style diet, which is very low carb, high fat and high protein. I eat a ton of greens and I don’t eat sugar because it’s a mood altering drug to me. It’s just not a good thing. That’s how far I have taken it as far as my health goes,” said Waltman.
As before on his own podcast, Waltman said he understands if others do not believe him fully because of his past. He said he knows drug addicts lie and he has been guilty before but maintains his name will be cleared soon.
