Smackdown Live had a gaping hole in their roster with the departure of 16-time World Champion John Cena, but that's been patched up a little bit after Tuesday night.
Former TNA and NXT champion Bobby Roode made his WWE main roster debut after a year-long run with WWE's brand. He dropped the NXT Championship on Saturday night at NXT Takeover Brooklyn III to Drew McIntyre after an eight month reign as champion.
Roode's debut was a successful one, defeating former NXT Tag Champion Aiden English. Perhaps the most surprising thing wasn't the appearance itself, but that Roode worked as a babyface.
Roode is far from the only TNA alumni on the Smackdown roster. Xavier Woods, AJ Styles, Mike and Maria Kanellis all formerly performed for the company.
