New General Manager Of 205 Live To Be Named Next Week, Will Address The Cruiserweight Title Situation

The future of 205 Live is set to change next week.

Daniel Bryan started 205 Live tonight by announcing that Enzo Amore had 'abdicated' the Cruiserweight title and would no longer be a part of 205 Live. He said that next week, a new General Manager for 205 Live would be named and he or she will address the situation regarding the now vacant Cruiserweight championship.

Wade Barrett: Transition To Commentary Has Given Me A Different Appreciation For WWE Creative Team

This all stems from Enzo Amore being released from WWE earlier today after a woman accused him of allegedly raping her last October. A police investigation is currently underway by Phoenix police. Once this accusation came to light, WWE immediately suspended Enzo Amore yesterday, then fired him today. He has since released a statement through his lawyers that deny the allegations.

He was scheduled to face off against Cedric Alexander at the Royal Rumble on Sunday. Coming off of his release and Bryan's statements tonight, the match has been shelved entirely from the card.
