A featherweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight Night St. Louis card as #8 Jeremy Stephens faces #12 Dooho Choi.
Stephens (26-14-0) has won just three of his last seven in the UFC, with that last win coming over Gilbert Melendez at UFC 215. Stephens has been a part of the UFC for over a decade now, earning a record of 13-13-0 while competing at both lightweight and featherweight. Stephens has seen his last five fights go the distance and it has been over two years since once of the competitors bouts ended with a finish.
Choi (14-2-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, but his last bout was a loss to Cub Swanson by decision at UFC 206. Choi has only seen four of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the “Korean Superboy” has a record of 2-2-0 in those bouts. Choi is also going to be returning to action for the first time in well over a year, with his last bout coming in December of 2016.
UFC Fight Night St. Louis takes place on Sunday, January 14 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
