WWE Hall of Famer Edge is a big fan of Luke Harper, so much so that he believes Harper is good enough to have wrestled The Undertaker at WrestleMania
When SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan appeared on Edge and Christian's "E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness," Bryan and the two hosts talked about how good the SmackDown locker room is and focused a bit on Harper.
"Somebody like Luke Harper, he got an opportunity earlier this year and he was getting super over. Not mega over where people were chanting, 'Harper! Harper!' But people were getting into his matches," Bryan said.
Harper got a further endorsement from Edge when he said the former Intercontinental Champion could have worked with The Undertaker at a WrestleMania card.
"I'm such a huge Harper fan. I think he's underutilized and, I don't know, underappreciated. He could do so much. When I first saw him, [I thought] 'There's a guy that could work Taker at WrestleMania.' He's so good at what he does. The presentation of the character is something that I believe... He can have a ladder match with Dolph Ziggler where we're like, 'What the hell just happened?' He's so good," Edge said.
The ladder match Edge referenced was the Intercontinental Ladder match between Harper and Ziggler that opened the 2014 TLC pay-per-view. Harper did technically work with The Undertaker when Harper and Bray Wyatt fought Kane and Undertaker at the 2015 edition of Survivor Series.
