One of professional wrestling's top free agents has found a home in TNA Wrestling.
Moose, real name Quinn Oijinnaka debuted on TNA's 'semi-live' edition of Impact Tuesday night, attacking Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and Bobby Lashley. Moose sided with “The Miracle” Mike Bennett, a fellow former Ring of Honor star.
Oijinnaka used the “Moose” name made famous during his two year run with Ring of Honor. He also used a the “Moose Nation” theme in which he had previously used in both Ring of Honor and the indy circuit. Fightful.com has been told that the deal with TNA is for two years.
Moose is a former NFL talent who played from 2006-2012, for the likes of the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams, Indianapolis Colts, and the St. Louis Rams. He'd been in negotiations with TNA, WWE, ROH and Lucha Underground ahead of signing with TNA.
While there was WWE interest, reportedly (according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter) the company backed out due to his simple battery arrest in 2009 in which resulted in him being suspended for one game in the 2010 NFL season. In 2015, Moose was offered a spot on WWE's Tough Enough reality show, but turned it down.
