Jim Ross is enjoying the new attitude of two WWE wrestlers.
On Smackdown, Dolph Ziggler was involved in a segment also featuring Jerry Lawler. Ziggler has displayed an attitude change since attacking Kalisto and Apollo Crews a few weeks ago. This week he superkicked Lawler in the chest after taking credit for Lawler's 2012 heart attack. Ross wrote about the segment and Ziggler's new character development in his blog on Tuesday.
"It seems that Jerry Lawler's King's Court segment helped advance the renewed, antagonist persona of Dolph Ziggler. Good to hear that King has been added to the broadcast team of Michael Cole and Corey Graves for the Royal Rumble Match in San Antonio at the Alamo Dome which is only a couple of blocks away from our venue, the Improv at River Center. Dolph Ziggler is a better villain than he is a fan favorite IMO," wrote Ross.
Another wrestler who has changed his approach is Neville, who showed up during WWE Roadblock to interrupt the Cruiserweight championship match. Ross also mentioned the importance of Neville to the Cruiserweight division.
"Neville is the MVP so far of the Cruiserweight Division and has big star potential written all over him in his new villain persona of which I totally enjoy," wrote Ross.
Neville is currently feuding with Rich Swann and is pursuing Swann's WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Ziggler was feuding with Baron Corbin before he attacked Kalisto, but his immediate future is unclear. Ross also discussed the Women's Championship match from Smackdown including the return of Mickie James.
