WWE Raw Results For 12/18: Stephanie McMahon Makes A Historical Announcement, Hideo Itami Debuts & The Revival Returns

Shelton Benjamin On AEW Run: I Feel Like I’ve Been Having Great Matches With Everyone

- The show starts with highlights from last weeks match between Kane and Braun Strowman.

- WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring with microphone in hand, Angle addresses last weeks top contenders match between Kane and Braun Strowman. Angle says he will determine who WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar’s opponent will be by the end of the night, Braun Strowman makes his way to the ring. Strowman says that he earned the opportunity to face Lesnar last week because he was the only one standing at the end, Kane then makes his way to the ring.

Kane says he has caused more destruction in the WWE than anybody else ever has, Kane says that Lesnar has never beat him. Kane questions whether of not Strowman will stop him before the WWE Royal Rumble event, Paul Heyman comes out with a microphone in hand. Heyman then brings out WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, Angle then announces Lesnar versus Strowman versus Kane for the WWE Universal Title at the Royal Rumble. A brawl breaks out as Lesnar clotheslines Strowman out of the ring, Lesnar then hits Kane with an F-5 to end things.

- Before Samoa Joe can come out for his match, Jason Jordan comes out with microphone in hand to say that he wants Samoa Joe as much as Rollins does. Jordan says he is no longer asking for a match with Joe and tells Rollins he will have to wait for a match with Joe, Rollins gets a microphone and says that he understands the pressure Jordan is under right now. Samoa Joe makes his way to the ring with microphone in hand, Joe says Jordan can face Rollins to fight himself later in the evening.

Rollins disagrees with this and he threatens violence with Joe, Jordan gets angry and he shoves Rollins to the ground. Rollins then agrees to the match with Jordan.

Winner Faces Samoa Joe Later At Some Point In The Future

Seth Rollins vs. Jason Jordan

The match begins with Jordan scoring a takedown on Rollins and he gets a few extra waist lock throws on him, Jordan also works over Rollins with a headlock. Jordan releases the headlock to drop Rollins with a shoulder tackle, Rollins recovers and nails Jordan with a side kick before knocking him out of the ring as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Jordan nailing Rollins with shoulder smashes in the corner, Rollins recovers and again knocks Jordan out of the ring with a clothesline. Jordan catches a leaping Rollins and he smashes him into the barricade, Jordan gets Rollins in the ring for a near fall.

Jordan traps Rollins in the corner while mauling him with strikes, Jordan drops Rollins with an Irish whip for a near fall. Rollins tries fighting back and Jordan just throws him into the turnbuckles, Jordan then applies a modified camel clutch to Rollins. Jordan continuously smashes the back of Rollins into the turnbuckles, Jordan catches Rollins with a spear in the corner for a near fall. Rollins fights back again and Jordan quickly drops him with a back breaker, Jordan applies another modified camel clutch to Rollins. Rollins grabs a swinging Jordan and he sends him face first into the middle turnbuckle, Jordan recovers to hit Rollins with an exploder suplex as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Jordan propelling Rollins to the ring apron, Jordan gets trapped in the ropes as Rollins nails him with a leg drop. Rollins catches Jordan with a springboard clothesline for a near fall, Rollins charges at Jordan and Jordan nails him with an overhead release suplex. Rollins goes for his finisher and he sends Jordan to the arena floor instead, Rollins then takes out Jordan with a suicide dive. Rollins gets to the ring apron and he kicks Jordan in the face, Rollins goes for a springboard clothesline and Jordan counters with a pair of northern lights suplexes for a near fall. Jordan places Rollins on the top rope and he meets him up there, Rollins knocks Jordan off the ropes before landing a frog splash for a near fall.

Jordan rolls out of the ring and Rollins follows him out there to land a knee strike from the ring apron, Rollins goes face to face with Samoa Joe while Joe was sitting at ringside. Rollins then sends a charging Jordan into Joe before nailing Joe with a super kick, Rollins gets Jordan in the ring as Jordan catches him in a roll up for a near fall. Rollins nails Jordan with the knee strike from out of nowhere for a three count.

Winner: Seth Rollins

After the match, Seth Rollins goes after Samoa Joe, Joe gets the advantage and he attacks Rollins until WWE officials intervene. Joe then attacks Jason Jordan as officials were escorting him away from the ring.

- Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose are in WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle’s office demanding a match with Samoa Joe when Jason Jordan walks in. Angle then makes Samoa Joe & The Bar versus Rollins, Ambrose & Jordan for tonight.

- Bray Wyatt appears and he mocks Matt Hardy, Wyatt says he comes into things so he can hurt Hardy for what he has done. Wyatt says that he is willing to play the chess match against Hardy, Wyatt says he will take everything that Hardy loves from him.

Handicapped Match

Finn Balor vs. The Miztourage (Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel)

The match begins with Dallas attempting to drag Balor into the corner, Axel tags in and he tries getting Balor into the corner as well. Axel nails Balor with an elbow strike before nailing him with shoulder thrusts in the corner, Dallas tags in and he stomps away on Balor. Axel tags back in and he nails a swinging Balor with a kick to the midsection, Balor catches Axel with a drop kick after rolling through a sunset flip. Balor slows things down by holding Axel in a chin lock, Dallas tries interfering and Balor knocks him off the ring apron.

Axel jumps a distracted Balor from behind before choking him in the corner, Dallas tags in and he stomps away on Balor. Dallas catches Balor with a clothesline before holding him in a chin lock, Balor breaks free and he swings away at Dallas. Balor then hits Dallas with a few forearm strikes and a double stomp for a near fall, Axel hits the ring and he mauls Balor with strikes. Axel tags in and he places Balor on the top rope before following him up there, Balor knocks him off the ropes and Dallas distracts him so Axel can get him off the ropes. Dallas and Axel attack Balor until the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Finn Balor, by DQ

After the match, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas continue attacking Finn Balor until Hideo Itami comes out to even the odds.

Finn Balor & Hideo Itami vs. The Miztourage (Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas)

The match is joined in progress as Balor nails Dallas in the arm with a top rope axe handle drop, Balor then wrenches away on the arm of Dallas. Axel distracts the referee so Dallas can poke Balor in the eyes, Axel tags in and he nails Balor with a back breaker. Axel keeps Balor grounded while ripping away at his face, Axel then nails Balor with a series of knee drops before ripping away at his face again. Dallas tags in and he double teams Balor with Axel for a near fall, Axel tags in and he applies a chin lock to Balor. Axel releases the hold before missing a charge into the corner, Itami tags in and he cleans house on the opposing team.

Itami nails Axel with a knee strike followed by a top rope clothesline for a near fall, Itami then attacks Axel with a series of strikes that ends with a bicycle knee. Dallas interferes and Balor takes care of him, Itami catches Axel with a running drop kick in the corner followed by a Go To Sleep for the three count.

Winners: Finn Balor & Hideo Itami

- Renee Young interviews Cedric Alexander, who says that he is not overlooking Drew Gulak and he wants to beat WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore really bad so he can represent 205 Live.

- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore and Drew Gulak come out before the next match, Gulak attempts to do his power point presentation until Cedric Alexander interrupts.

WWE Cruiserweight Title #1 Contenders Tournament Finals

Drew Gulak w/Enzo Amore vs. Cedric Alexander

The match begins with Alexander backing Gulak into the corner until the referee separates them, Alexander starts working over Gulak with a headlock. Alexander then takes down Gulak with a head scissors before knocking him out of the ring with a drop kick, Alexander then catches Gulak with a suicide dive. Alexander gets Gulak back into the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt, Alexander attacks Gulak with a few chops. Gulak recovers to suplex himself and Alexander out of the ring as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Gulak dropping Alexander with an Irish whip into the corner.

Gulak then hits Alexander with a running clothesline in the corner for a near fall, Alexander fails to hit Gulak with a back suplex and Gulak hits him with a spinning clothesline for a near fall. Gulak places a knee to the spine of Alexander while pulling back on his arms, Alexander breaks free and he fights back against Gulak. Alexander then catches a charging Gulak with a back body drop, Alexander then drops Gulak with a few clotheslines followed by chops. Gulak and Alexander exchange some roll ups for some near falls, Alexander nails a charging Gulak with a standing Spanish fly for a near fall. Alexander goes for a handspring Enzaguri and Gulak counters with the Gaba Gulak Grip, Alexander eventually gets to the ropes to break the hold.

Enzo leaves the commentary table while checking his phone and that distracts Gulak, Alexander and Gulak have a striking exchange near the ropes. Alexander catches Gulak with a kick to the head followed by the Lumbar Check for the three count.

Winner: Cedric Alexander

- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore is shown checking his phone backstage when he runs into Nia Jax, he tells her that he got her message on the phone. Jax says she wants to finish her conversation with him from last week, Drew Gulak arrives to apologize for losing the match. Gulak says he wants to talk with Enzo and Jax walks away, Enzo gets angry with Gulak and he storms off.

Asuka vs. Alicia Fox

The match begins with Fox doing her best to avoid Asuka, Asuka applies the headlock to Fox after blocking a kick. Asuka then drops Fox with a shoulder tackle, Asuka gets Fox to the ground and Fox rolls out of the ring. Asuka goes to grab Fox and Fox kicks her in the head, Fox gets back in the ring and she kicks Asuka in the head again for a near fall. Fox follows up by catching Asuka with a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Fox slows things down by holding Asuka in a chin lock. Fox releases the hold before attacking Asuka with forearm strikes, Asuka then drills Fox with a missile drop kick and a running hip attack. Asuka then tosses Fox across the ring before kicking her in the head, Asuka applies the arm bar and Fox taps out.

Winner: Asuka

Samoa Joe & The Bar (Cesaro & Sheamus) vs. Jason Jordan, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose

The match begins with Jordan attacking Joe before battling Sheamus in the ring, Sheamus quickly drops Jordan with a clothesline. Joe tags in and he stomps away on a downed Jordan, Joe traps Jordan in the ropes while peppering him with jabs. Cesaro tags in and he nails Jordan with some European uppercuts, Sheamus tags in and he stomps away on a downed Jordan. Sheamus then catches Jordan with a knee drop for a near fall, Cesaro tags in and he catches Jordan with a middle rope stomp. Cesaro slows things down by holding Jordan in a cobra clutch, Jordan breaks free and he catches Cesaro with a belly to back suplex.

Rollins tags in and he nails Cesaro with a springboard clothesline followed by a sling blade, Rollins then hits Cesaro with a super kick for a near fall. Cesaro knocks Rollins to the ring apron and Rollins manages to knock him to the arena floor, Rollins catches Cesaro with a suicide dive as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Sheamus working over the back of Rollins in the corner, Sheamus then chokes Rollins on the middle rope. Joe tags in and he mauls Rollins with knee strikes before jabbing away at him in the corner, Joe slows things down further by holding Rollins in the scarf hold. Rollins finds a way to break free by hitting Joe with a jaw breaker, Joe slows Rollins down before tagging Sheamus in.

Cesaro tags in and he works with Sheamus to hit Rollins with a Demolition Decapitation for a near fall, Sheamus tags in and he nails Rollins with multiple Irish Curse back breakers. Rollins counters a third Irish Curse to nail Sheamus with a DDT, Joe tags in and he stops Rollins from making the tag. Joe corners Rollins before nailing him with an enzaguri for a near fall, Jordan hits the ring and The Bar do as well to take care of him. Sheamus tags in and Rollins sends him into the ring post, Cesaro tags in and he gets Rollins back to his teams corner. Cesaro nails Rollins with a knee strike before throwing him out of the ring, a huge brawl breaks out on the arena floor between everybody in the match.

Rollins catches Cesaro with a back body drop on the arena floor, Cesaro and Joe get back in the ring so Rollins can toss them right out. Rollins then takes out Cesaro and Joe with a suicide dive, Ambrose gets injured during the dive and the doctors check on him. Sheamus catches Rollins with a Brogue Kick so Cesaro can get the three count.

Winners: Samoa Joe & The Bar (Cesaro & Sheamus)

- A limo arrives backstage and Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon comes out of it.

- Matt Hardy appears on the screen and he is playing a game of chess by himself, Hardy says check mate in reference to what Bray Wyatt said earlier in the evening. Hardy reveals that he was playing chess against a goldfish, Hardy compares the WWE to the chess board. Hardy says he and Wyatt have been going after each other since the beginning of existence, Hardy says he will gather his warriors to battle Wyatt in the great war before shouting delete a bunch of times.

- Dean Ambrose is backstage in the medical center with Seth Rollins when they are attacked by The Bar and Samoa Joe. Joe shoves a large crate onto the injured arm of Ambrose.

Rhyno & Heath Slater vs. The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson)

The match begins with Rhyno working over Wilder with a headlock, Rhyno drops Wilder with a shoulder tackle. Slater tags in and he double teams Wilder alongside Rhyno for a near fall, Wilder gains control over Slater before tagging Dawson in. Slater fights back and he nails Dawson with a flying forearm in the corner, Slater misses the second flying forearm and Dawson levels him with a clothesline. Wilder tags in and he double teams Slater with Dawson for a near fall, Wilder slows things down by holding Slater in a chin lock.

Slater recovers and he shoves Wilder to the mat, Dawson tags in and Slater quickly drops him with a drop kick. Wilder interferes and he winds up bumping heads with Slater, Wilder then attacks Rhyno from behind. Wilder tags in as The Revival hits Slater with the Shatter Machine for a three count.

Winners: The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson)

- WWE Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle are shown talking backstage.

- Rhyno and Heath Slater are confronted by WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle backstage, Angle asks that they toughen up as 2018 approaches. Slater freaks out and Rhyno tells him to toughen up so they can start winning some matches.

- Elias is in the ring and he wants to know “who will walk with Elias?” Elias says the New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is a huge fan of his, Elias also mocks Brady for his apparent cheating in the NFL. Elias then announces that he is entering the 2018 Royal Rumble Match, Elias then performs a new song until he gets interrupted by Sasha Banks. Elias tries performing again until he gets interrupted by Mickie James, Elias tries for a third time until he gets interrupted by Bayley and decides to just walk away.

Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville) vs. Bayley, Sasha Banks & Mickie James

The match begins with Paige going to the ropes before cheap shotting James, James recovers and drops Paige with a flying forearm strike. Banks tags in and she works with James to hit Paige with a double suplex, Rose distracts Banks and Paige nails her with a super kick for a near fall. Rose tags in and she stomps away on a downed Banks, Deville tags in and she mauls Banks with strikes in the corner as well. Paige tags back in and she stomps away on Banks as well, Banks fights back and Paige drops her for a near fall. Paige again stomps away on Banks before allowing her partners to deliver some cheap shots, Rose and Deville also attack James and Bayley on the arena floor.

Banks gets to the top rope and she hits Paige with a double knee strike for a near fall, Absolution triple teams Banks in the ring until the referee calls for the bell.

Winners: Bayley, Sasha Banks & Mickie James, by DQ

After the match, Nia Jax comes out and Absolution triple teams her, Jax tosses both Deville and Rose across the ring. Jax then hits Deville and Rose with a double Samoan drop, Paige then hits Jax with a chop block followed by a knee strike. Absolution attacks Jax again until the rest of the women come out and a huge brawl erupts, which brings out WWE Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. McMahon grabs the microphone and she talks about the women’s revolution, McMahon then announces a women’s Royal Rumble Match for January 28 at the 2018 WWE Ryal Rumble event.
