Alen Amedovski Faces John Phillips At UFC Fight Night Copenhagen

A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Copenhagen, announced by the UFC Europe Twitter page, as Alen Amedovski is in action against John Phillips.

Amedovski (8-1-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to Krzysztof Jotko via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night St. Petersburg. Amedovski did go undefeated during a two fight stint in Bellator MMA, defeating the duo of Will Fleury and Ibrahim Mane. Amedovski has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.

Phillips (21-9-0-1NC) is winless as well under the UFC banner, having dropped bouts to the trio of Charles Byrd, Kevin Holland and Jack Marshman. Phillips hasn’t picked up a victory in almost three years, with that last win coming against Jose Otavio Dos Santos Lacerda at Budo 16 in September of 2016. Phillips has picked up twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of those victories came by either KO/TKO or submission.

UFC Fight Night Copenhagen takes place on Saturday, September 28 from the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark with Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
