Top UFC women's bantamweight contenders Aspen Ladd and Irene Aldana are set to collide at UFC 273 on April 9 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
ESPN's Carlos Contreras Legaspi was the first to report the news of the matchup, although the promotion has yet to officially confirm anything regarding the bout. Ladd is 1-2 in her last three Octagon appearances and will return to 135-pounds, after losing her featherweight debut via a unanimous decision to Norma Dumont at UFC Vegas 40. Aldana meanwhile is 3-1 in her last four fights and will try to build off of a first-round TKO win over former UFC title challenger, Yana Kunitskaya, back at UFC 264.
