The vacant Cage Warriors Bantamweight Title will get a new owner at Cage Warriors 97 as Jack Shore is in action against Jakub Wiklacz.
Shore (8-0-0) has competed seven times in the Cage Warriors promotion, where he holds a win over UFC veteran Vaughan Lee in the fighters last promotional appearance. Shore is still undefeated thus far as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has already lasted over two years. Shore also had an extensive run as an amateur MMA fighter, winning twelve of twelve fights before turning pro in 2016.
Wiklacz (8-2-1) is going to be making his Cage Warriors debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Wiklacz has picked up a total of eight victories as a professional MMA fighter, but Wiklacz has yet to earn a victory by KO/TKO. Wiklacz also competed twice under the Absolute Championship Berkut banner, defeating Sebastian Przybysz, while suffering a defeat to Dukvaha Gralka.
Cage Warriors 97 takes place on Saturday, September 29 from the Ice Arena in Cardiff, Wales with Jack Shore and Jakub Wiklacz headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
