Bellator 244 Postponed Due To Coronavirus

Fans hoping to see the return of Bellator MMA on June 6 are going to be disappointed as the promotion has postponed Bellator 244 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bellator MMA issued the following statement on the postponement (via MMA Junkie):

“The organization will continue to monitor the situation closely and fully intends to reschedule (Bellator 244) as soon as possible. As always, the health and safety of our athletes, fans, partners and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate the understanding and patience of everyone involved during this incredibly difficult time.”

The card was set to feature a rematch between former Bellator Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler vs. former UFC Lightweight Champion Ben Henderson and AJ McKee vs. Darrion Caldwell in a Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix Semi-Final Round encounter

There are no more Bellator events scheduled at this point until Bellator Dublin on October 3, which is going to be headlined by Patricky Pitbull and Peter Queally
