Bellator 271 to Include Valerie Loureda, Cody Law, Prospects

Valerie Loureda is expected to return to action at Bellator 271 in her home state of Miami.

The promotion announced a number of fights that will be featured on the event that will be taking place inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida on November 12. The main event will be Cris Cyborg defending her Bellator Featherweight Title against Sinead Kavanagh.

Loureda will face off against Taylor Turner. Other bouts on the card will be Bruna Ellen v. Desiree Yanez, Roman Faraldo v. Robert Turnquest, Jordan Newman v. Shane O'Shea, and Cody Law v. Colton Hamm.

The young Loureda suffered her first career loss against Hannah Guy back in May. Active on social media, Loureda has been preparing for a fight since recovering from a shoulder injury. Turner debuted in Bellator in 2019, beating Heather Hardy. Since then she is 1-2, beating Hannah Elswick at Valor Fights in September.

Ellen made her debut in 2015 and competed in her first Bellator fight in 2016. She is 3-3 in six fights for Bellator, losing to Juliana Velasquez in her last bout in 2019. Yanez is on a two-fight losing streak. Her last fight was a majority loss against Veta Arteaga in April.

Feraldo has won two fights for Bellator since debuting for the promotion in 2020. The undefeated fighter last fought at Bellator 255 in April, beating Trevor Gudde. The veteran in Turnquest is 2-2 in his last four fights. He last fought in 2019, beating Mike Morgan, and this will be his Bellator debut.

A wrestler, Newman competed at Bellator 255 following a year off from action. He beat Branko Busick following multiple elbows. O'Shea has a boxing background and will be making his Bellator debut. He last fought in July against Bruno Assis.

An NCAA Division II Champion, Cody Law will be competing in his third Bellator bout in 2021. He last fought in July, beating Theodore Macuka via TKO. Hamm is on a two-fight win streak, beating Branden Little in August.
