Conor McGregor Accused Of Punching Italian DJ

Conor McGregor is once again involved in controversy outside of the octagon.

McGregor has been accused by Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti of attacking him and breaking his nose. The "Notorious" One had his son baptized at the Vatican with his partner Dee Devlin. Per Facchinetti's Instagram (h/t Leggo), Facchinetti was having fun with McGregor for two hours prior to the incident. McGregor would then invite him and his wife to another club, which he accepted.

“At 2.30 this night I was attacked by Mr. McGregor,” Facchinetti said (h/t MMA Mania). “The very famous McGregor, who punched me in the mouth, broke my nose in front of ten witnesses, his friends and his bodyguards. He attacked me without motivation as we talked for more than two hours and we also had fun together. I could have shut up and not say anything to anyone, but since I’m here to tell it, I must say that that person is really violent and dangerous.”

Facchinetti, who had a busted lip in his post, went on to add that he will be taking legal action against McGregor.

Wilma Helena Faissol, Facchinetti’s wife, discussed the situation in further detail.

“Then out of nowhere, he threw a punch in the face of Francesco. He was inviting us to another party. Francesco said, ‘Okay, let’s go’ and he hit him. Luckily, he [Francesco] was very close so he [McGregor] couldn’t load up on his punch," Wilma stated, (h/t Bloody Elbow). "Francesco flew back, fell on the table, and then on the ground. The first thing that came to mind was ‘are we kidding? Is it a show?’ Then I was paralyzed. I turned around and saw that his friends were holding him against the wall because he wanted to continue beating Francesco. Then they took him away. I turned on the light and the guards turned them off. Francesco was bleeding. I wanted to help him and the guards chased us away.

“He will stay in Italy until October 26th. If you see him stay away from him. Don’t go near him and ask for autographs because he is an unstable and dangerous person."

This is not the first time McGregor has been involved in some form of controversy. The former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion was charged with assault in 2019 after punching an older man at a bar in Dublin. He also got into an altercation with Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs red carpet. Going back further, McGregor was arrested in Florida after getting into an altercation with a fan and smashing his phone on the floor.

Since returning to action in 2018, McGregor is 1-3 in his last four fights. He is just coming off of a TKO loss against Dustin Poirier in July at UFC 264. McGregor broke his tibia, forcing the fight to end. He is currently recovering following surgery.

McGregor has yet to respond to these allegations.
